It has been confirmed that there will be a Q&A session with Scotland and British & Irish Lions legend Andy Irvine after a charity rugby match later this month.

Five years since the tragic passing of St Andrews University rugby Captain Steven Sims aged just 23, friends and family are reuniting to launch a brand new charity in his name.

The Steven Sims Cavaliers Foundation exists to tackle concussion in the grassroots rugby community across Scotland and seek to ensure boys and girls can continue to play this great sport safely.

To launch their campaign, the Cavaliers host a dazzling display of champagne rugby in celebration of Steven’s life on Saturday, May 27 in London.

A select XV of Edinburgh’s Stewart’s Melville College Alumni face the University of St Andrews Alumni XV at the home of London Scottish, the Richmond Athletic Ground.

The crowd will then be joined by Irvine for a special Q&A hosted by the voices behind Scotland’s newest rugby podcast, the Thistle Rugby Podcast.

Irvine played for Heriot’s with great distinction for many years, earning 51 Scotland caps between 1972 and 1982 and going on three Lions tours as a player between 1974 and 1980.
