Scotland Sevens cap Peter Jericevich has been named as PROJECX Waterboys Captain for this weekend’s sevens tournament in Cork.

The Waterboys performed well at the Hong Kong 10s earlier this month and now players from Scottish clubs GHA, Boroughmuir, Watsonians, Howe of Fife, Currie and Marr will aim to make their mark at the Heineken Kinsale Sevens Rugby Festival in Kinsale, Ireland on Saturday and Sunday.

Jericevich, who has seven Scotland Sevens caps, is joined in the select squad by GHA team mates Andrew Goudie and Nigel Kelly while Kings of the Sevens leaders Watsonians are represented by Rory Drummond and Mike Fedo.

Boroughmuir duo Jordan Edmunds and Chris Laidlaw are included as is Currie youngster Thomas Gordon, Marr back Conor Bickerstaff, Howe of Fife’s Will Wardlaw and Sam Bellhouse and Tom Stanley.

Ahead of the event, Jericevich said: “I have represented the Waterboys previously on two occasions – Amsterdam and Dubai 2016.

“I have enjoyed both trips with the Waterboys to date so this is another opportunity to play a good level of sevens with a team I enjoy being involved with

“It looks like we have a strong team so I am looking forward to the weekend.”

Once again PROJECX, International Power and Water Investments, JA Resorts & Hotels, Ace Property Management, Sarcogent Solutions and Ethigen are supporting the team. They also have a range of new sponsors including Kyloe Restaurant (Signature Pubs), Orion Systems, St. Julians Advisory, 4 Navitas and Bureau.
