Nine clubs are represented in the first Scotland Women’s sevens training squad named by Head Coach Scott Wight.

The 20-player group will meet on Saturday and Sunday at Oriam in Edinburgh as Wight begins to the run the rule over the talent at his disposal.

Lichfield, Hillhead/Jordanhill, Edinburgh University, Melrose, Caithness, RHC Cougars, Murrayfield Wanderers, Alseford Bulls and Worcester are represented.

The finalised squad will then compete in this summer’s Rugby Europe Women’s Sevens Trophy events.
