Ayr’s Pete McCallum is excited to be leading the PROJECX Waterboys in Sweden this weekend.

The Scottish invitational team have had a good 2017 to date and are off to the Stockholm 10s on August 5 and 6.

Having won the event last year they have set themselves high standards, but McCallum is ready for the challenge.

“As always I am really looking forward to representing the Waterboys and hopefully continuing to play with the flair and tempo with which they are associated,” the Club XV cap said.

“It’s a very exciting squad for this tour, packed with top quality players. I hope we can make a real mark and go there and defend our title against some quality opposition.”

McCallum is joined by three Ayr team mates in the squad while Watsonians, Glasgow Hawks, GHA, Howe of Fife and Marr are also represented.

Once again PROJECX, International Power and Water Investments, JA Resorts & Hotels, Ace Property Management, Sarcogent Solutions and Ethigen are supporting the team. They also have a range of new sponsors including Kyloe Restaurant (Signature Pubs), Orion Systems, St. Julians Advisory, 4 Navitas and Bureau with Akuma Sports as the equipment supplier.
