Stirling University are running a 10s tournament on September 20.

It will be a great opportunity for university rugby clubs to have a run out before the BUCS season begins.

The organisers have invited all Scottish universities from across the BUCS leagues which gives teams a unique chance to compete against teams in higher up leagues. This will allow teams to integrate their ‘freshers’ into their clubs in a competitive environment.

There will be four groups of three teams with quarter-finals, semis and final to follow if a team is to win the Fubar 10s trophy along with other prizes.

Tartan Touch is being given an opportunity to thrive also at this competition.

Stirling University rugby President Matthew Clark said:  “It is going to be a fantastic environment for rugby players and fans to be a part of with a live DJ playing throughout the day. There will also be food and drink at the event for both the spectators and players to enjoy.

“As a club we would love to see this be a successful event so that we can potentially run it every year to carry on giving university rugby teams the opportunity to challenge themselves.”
