Super Rugby Aotearoa: Round two predictions

The Crusaders make their Super Rugby Aotearoa debut this weekend, facing the Hurricanes on Sunday, while tomorrow (Saturday) morning, Warren Gatland’s Chiefs welcome the Blues.

And FOSROC Super6 duo Morgan Inness and Caleb Korteweg are back to share their thoughts

After both wrongly predicting last week’s matches, the Watsonians number eight and Stirling County scrum-half will be hoping for better fortunes this time around.

Chiefs vs Blues

“The Blues looked good last week and have picked an impressive loose forward trio for the week’s game.

“Although the Chiefs will be hungry after losing last weekend, I’m going to pick the Blues by seven [points].”

Crusaders vs Hurricanes

Crusaders will be all guns blazing for their first game of the competition, and they have lots of young exciting talent.

“I’m going to pick the Crusaders by 10 and I think this will be the game of the round.”

Chiefs vs Blues

“The Blues forward pack and set piece will be too good for the young Chiefs pack.

“I’m predicting them to win by 12 or less.”

Crusaders vs Hurricanes

The Crusaders have the best spread of talent throughout their line-up and no real weaknesses in any position.

“I’m backing them to beat the Hurricanes.”
