Glasgow Warriors Managing Director Nathan Bombrys has thanked the club’s fans as he announced that they have sold a record number of season tickets for the upcoming campaign.

The club have now sold out their allocation of season tickets, with more than 4,500 memberships snapped up for Dave Rennie’s first season in charge of the Scotstoun outfit.

Season ticket sales have increased every year since the club moved to Scotstoun in 2012 and there has been another increase this season.

Bombrys said: “We’d like to thank our supporters for once again getting behind the team in huge numbers and when we add in our sponsors, partners and business club we’ll have more than 5,000 members.

“There is a lot of excitement building ahead of the new campaign and our players are working really hard to get themselves fit and ready for action.

“The pre-season fixture against Northampton Saints will be the first opportunity to see a number of our new players in action for the first time and we’re looking forward to going back to Stirling for this fixture.”
