Glasgow Warriors forward Gregor Brown has signed a contract extension, keeping him at Scotstoun until at least the summer of 2027.
The 23-year-old, who can play both in the second row and back row, has been a key figure for the club over the past year. Since making his professional debut against Leinster in 2021, Brown has amassed 31 appearances, with his impact growing steadily.
His latest contribution came in Glasgow’s crucial victory over Munster, where he delivered a dominant performance off the bench, winning two turnovers to help secure a valuable bonus-point win in the playoff race.
Brown was also instrumental in the club’s BKT URC Grand Final triumph last season, playing a key role in defending a decisive maul in the closing moments at Loftus Versfeld. His standout performances earned him a place in Scotland’s squad for the 2024 summer tour, where he made his senior international debut in a win over Canada. He continued his strong form into the 2025 Six Nations, making his first start in the competition against France.
Reflecting on his new deal, Brown expressed his excitement about continuing his journey with the club:
“I’m buzzing, to be honest. It was a really easy decision. I grew up supporting Glasgow Warriors and watched the team lift the 2015 title, so to be a part of a league-winning squad with this club last season was a real dream come true. It was unreal and something I’ll never forget.”
Head coach Franco Smith praised Brown’s development, saying:
“Gregor’s development has been extremely impressive over the last two seasons, and we are delighted to retain a player of his potential.”
“We’re excited to continue to work with him over the coming seasons, as we work to help him become the best version of himself both on and off the field.”
Brown will be back in action this weekend as Glasgow Warriors face the Emirates Lions at Scotstoun in the Plaster It Purple fixture, a match supporting Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
