Scotland U18s have named their 26-player squad for the upcoming Men’s Six Nations Festival, set to kick off in Vichy, France this Thursday.
Head Coach Ross Miller leads a promising young group into the prestigious international event, with fixtures scheduled against England, Ireland, and Spain. The Scots begin their campaign against England on Thursday 11 April (12.15pm BST), before facing Ireland on Monday 14 April (3.15pm BST) and wrapping up with a clash against Spain on Friday 18 April (3.15pm BST).
Miller expressed his enthusiasm ahead of the tournament, highlighting both the squad’s development and the fresh challenge ahead.
“The group have been in training over the last couple of months, and we’ve had games against Wales, Newcastle Falcons and a Scotland U19 side,” said Miller.
“Preparations have gone well and we’re excited to get going in the festival which we’ve building towards.”
Only one player—captain Charlie Lindsay—returns from last year’s squad, marking this as a largely new-look group for the age-grade side. Miller noted that the tight turnaround between matches and quality of opposition will provide a real test of the team’s progress.
“Unfortunately a few players have missed out through injury,” he added.
“But this is an exciting group that are capable of producing good performances and playing some good rugby, and the coaching group are looking forward to continuing to work with them and seeing what they can do.”
