Scotland U20 lineup for France test

Scotland U20 rugby head coach Kenny Murray has announced his team for the upcoming match against France U20, making two adjustments to the starting lineup for their last game of the 2025 U20 Six Nations. The fixture is set to take place at Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris this Friday, with kickoff scheduled for 20:15.

Following their recent victory over Wales at Hive Stadium, Seb Stephen and Bart Godsell have earned starting positions in the forward pack. Stephen takes over the hooker role, joining loosehead prop Oliver McKenna and tighthead prop Ollie Blyth-Lafferty in the front row. Godsell slots into the second row alongside Dan Halkon. The back row remains unchanged, featuring Oliver Duncan at blindside flanker, team captain Freddy Douglas at openside, and Reuben Logan at number 8.

The backline sees no alterations, with scrum-half Noah Cowan and fly-half Matthew Urwin continuing as the half-back pairing. Debutant Angus Hunter retains his spot at outside centre, partnered by Kerr Yule at inside centre. Fergus Watson lines up on the left wing, while Nairn Moncrieff holds his position on the right. Jack Brown completes the starting XV at full-back.

Among the replacements, props Jake Shearer and Jamie Stewart are joined by hooker Joe Roberts to provide front-row cover. Lock Charlie Moss and back-row player Mark Fyffe round out the forward substitutes. Scrum-half Hamish MacArthur and winger Cameron van Wyk, both of whom came off the bench against Wales, are included in the reserves alongside fly-half Ross Wolfenden.
