Scottish rugby fans can officially start planning their season, as the full fixture list for the 2025/26 BKT United Rugby Championship has been revealed — and both Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors have plenty to look forward to.
Edinburgh Rugby – Friday Night Lights and Festive Fireworks
Edinburgh kick off their campaign with an away trip to Zebre Parma on Saturday 27 September (kick-off 3:05pm), before returning to Hive Stadium for a Friday night opener against Ulster on 3 October (kick-off 8:05pm).
Next up is a home clash with Benetton on Friday 17 October (kick-off 7:45pm), followed by Ospreys on Saturday 29 November (kick-off 5:30pm).
The capital side’s festive schedule is headlined by the 1872 Cup, with the second and deciding leg set for Saturday 27 December at Scottish Gas Murrayfield (kick-off 3:00pm).
In the new year, Vodacom Bulls return to the capital for a rematch of last season’s quarter-final on Friday 23 January (kick-off 7:45pm), with home fixtures against Zebre Parma on 17 & 24 April and Connacht on 15 May rounding off the regular season.
Glasgow Warriors – Big Openers and Hampden Showdown
Glasgow begin their season at home to the Hollywoodbets Sharks on Friday 26 September (kick-off 8:05pm), before heading to Treviso to face Benetton in round two.
Dragons RFC visit Scotstoun on Saturday 11 October (kick-off 5:30pm), while Vodacom Bulls return on Friday 24 October (kick-off 7:45pm) to close out the opening block before the Autumn Nations Series break.
December sees the Warriors host the opening leg of the 1872 Cup at a new venue — Hampden Park — on Saturday 20 December (kick-off 3:00pm), before travelling to Murrayfield for the return leg a week later.
The Warriors’ 2026 opens with a home tie against Zebre Parma on Saturday 3 January (kick-off 7:45pm), followed by trips to Parma and Connacht, and a key home fixture against Munster on Friday 30 January.
A double-header against South African sides Lions and Stormers follows in April, before the home finale at Scotstoun against Cardiff on Friday 8 May (kick-off 7:45pm) and a regular-season closer away to Ulster on Friday 15 May.
